Aliya Bonar, Member

Hi, my name is Aliya Bonar -- I'm a parent of two young kids, a New York resident for the last 15 years, and proud to call Ridgewood Queens home.

In my work as a community based artist I’ve worked with a number of different local interest groups and experimental art organizations to produce interactive installations, soft sculptures, costumes, and dance performances. I'm also a Project Manager and I work collaboratively across industries and departments to develop and bring new products to market.

I joined the Community Education Council to get to know my neighbors and what is most important to them. I am honored to have the opportunity to advocate for our students to make sure each child has the best educational experience here in District 24.
